The Porcupine Mountains are home to some of the most stunning wilderness in the entire Midwest. Home to over 100 waterfalls in 60,000 acres of land along Lake Superior, you will not be disappointed with a visit here. This park is a backpacker's paradise, with many rustic cabins stationed along the miles and miles of trails. If you desire a more comfortable stay, there is a developed campsite available for reservations at Presque Isle.

Hiking here is absolutely breathtaking. You can visit a series of waterfalls on a short, family friendly hike near Presque Isle, or you can climb to the top of the observation tower on Summit Peak for panoramic views of the Porkies and Lake Superior. Other destinations include Government Peak and Lake of the Clouds. With so many things to see and trails to hike, it's impossible to fit everything in one trip.
