Park Information

Rating: ★★★★★(5/5) - Must Visit

This gorge-eous state park in Northern Wisconsin is the site of several impressive, copper-colored waterfalls. Often found on top lists of Wisconsin State Parks, this place delivers beautiful north woods scenery that won't disappoint. There are plenty of activities to keep you occupied, with miles of hiking and mountain biking trails and Loon Lake for swimming, fishing, and boating. Although it is far from any major city, there are two campgrounds to host your overnight stay.

The interesting topography and rivers make this an excellent destination for hiking. The Doughboys Nature Trail is the most popular route in the park, providing views of Copper Falls and Brownstone Falls. The Red Granite Falls Trail treks to a smaller but still cool waterfall without the crowds of the Doughboys Nature Trail. The North Country National Scenic Trail cuts through the park for those looking for an extended journey.
